The Olympic Opening Ceremonies 2012

Me and my husbanded watched the opening ceremonies for the Olympics on TV last night. He apparently had never watched opening ceremonies before.

He had no idea it was such a big celebration. He loved it.

It was really good. I loved the forging of the rings bit and of course James Bond and the Queen did a really great entry to the ceremonies.

The little dogs were really wonderful!! They are so cute! Made me want to get one like that…but my hubby would kill me if I got another dog.

Then the parade of nations was cool. Just goes to remind us how big this world is with so many nations sending athletes to the Olympics.

The ladies carrying the signs with the names of the countries in the parade were neat too. The dresses were nice but I really loved the shoes they were wearing.  They looked really comfortable and if all those ladies could walk around that stadium in them…they must be pretty good shoes. Does anyone know what kind of shoes they were?

We are of course watching the swimming and gymnastics on TV today. In fact I need to get back to the TV so I don’t miss anything! Are you watching? Which sport is your favorite?
