A corset top will do it! Or you could go all out and get a whole outfit.
I got the chance to review a corset top from Corset Chick. I have always loved the look of corsets in period costumes especially the ones in all the old westerns TV shows and movies. Of course to make the top look like a dance hall girl outfit I’ll need to get a skirt and chemise to go with it but that won’t be a problem.
Corset Chick does have some dress style corsets as well but I only got a top.
The one I chose as my first pick is a Black Burlesque with Apple Green Stripes. It is well made and really pretty with all the stripes and green lace on it. This one is a Plus Size Corset as I have quite a few extra pounds on me. The corset fit really well but we did have to adjust the laces on the back.
The corset has a zipper on the side for getting it on and off easy. The laces on the back can be loosened or tightened as needed to adjust the fit. There is a flap inside a few inches wide so you can loosen the laces without anything underneath actually showing through. When I first put the corset on my assets were falling over the top. My husband said he didn’t mind that at all but since it wasn’t at all comfortable I insisted we adjust the laces.
You probably can’t do that by yourself but I’m sure your significant other will happy to help! My corset needed to be loosened at the bottom and tightened at the top and after that it fit really well.
My husband refused to allow me to post pictures of it on me. Not until/unless I get a chemise to wear under it anyway. Trust me though…it looked good!
I really liked it and it will help make an excellent Halloween costume this year. My husband really likes it too and says I should get a few more.
I might. Someday.
