Some Books To Giveaway – 3 Winners

I have some books to giveaway. To three lucky people. The first place winner gets first choice of the books on the list below. Second place winner gets second choice. Third place of course gets to pick from what’s left.

These are lightly used. Most have been read only once. By me of course. I would have more but I am still reading The Wheel of Time books. I am on the last one(that’s out) now and will start on my stack of new books as soon as I’m done.

I have only posted a review of one of these books on this blog. I will try to get some reviews up of the others in the next few days but can’t promise that. I did reviews of a couple of them on Goodreads if you would like to go check them out.

 The books are :

Expendable by James Alan Gardner. That link is to a paper back, the one I have is hardback.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff in Love by Richard Carlson. Ph.D and Kristine Carlson.  Click here to read my review.

The Glamour of Grammar by Roy Peter Clark. You can read my review on my Glamour of Grammar post.

The Dance of Connection  by Harriet Lerner, Ph.D

Conquering Fear by Harold S. Kushner (I have the 2009 edition-slightly different from the one in the link)

Keep the Pigs Out by Don Dickerman

Why Our Health Matters by Andrew Weil, M.D. (my copy is paperback.)

Congratulations! You’ve Been Fired by Emily Koltnow and Lynne S. Dumas (this is an old book from 1990 but still good and the copy I have has a different cover than in the link.)

This one is for the US only because of shipping. The giveaway ends on April 26, 2011 at 11:59 central time. I will choose the winner the next day. Using random.org.

Mandatory Entry : Tell me which book you would choose and why.

The rules and list of optional extra entries are on the contest page.

  4. I would choose The Dance of Connection because I think communication is SO important to every relationship! I can definitely use pointers for when I am hurt – that's when I tend to shut down and shut the person out – and I'd rather not do that!

  7. I'm not entering the giveaway but wanted to tell you I am on my 20th, at least, re-read of the Wheel of Time series. I started reading them in 1994-ish. I finish it and I start over. All other books bore me to tears and I was an avid reader of all kinds of books. Always good to "meet" another fan.

  8. I would choose The Glamour of Grammar. I love reading grammar books (my current favorite is Eats, Shoots, and Leaves) so it would be a welcome addition to my bookshelf.

  11. I think I'd like The Dance of Connection, simply because I should probably learn all I can from it, then teach it to the kinder. Right now, it's a free-for-all! Not good!
