Sell or Be Sold: How to Get Your Way in Business and in Life is a good book and it is pretty easy to read.
It has some helpful information in it for just about everybody.
The author says that lots of people are not really successful because they don’t realise that they are really salespeople. No matter what their business is called…they are actually selling.
Whether it is just selling yourself to your boss and clients, selling an idea, selling a charity, selling a religion, or selling a product…everyone is a salesperson.
Mr. Cardone says that if you want to be really successful in whatever your business is…you need to learn how to be a great salesperson. He says the better you become at selling…the more successful you will be at everything else…including your family life.
I’m not sure I agree with everything he says…he seems to think that every single minute of every day should be spent on whatever your business is…and I guess if you want what the world defines as “success” or if you want to be rich…he may be right.
I wouldn’t be very happy living that way though. So maybe I don’t really want to be successful. But I did learn some things from this book that should help me be more successful…if I can remember to implement them on a regular basis…that will take practice(which the author also recommends).
