The Tresemme is made with cornstarch and it worked pretty well but my hair felt a bit sticky afterward. It also felt heavier and thicker…harder to manage. Since my hair is thick and hard to brush already that isn’t helpful.
After washing my hair and letting it get dirty again I tried the Batiste Dry Shampoo. It is made with rice starch and isn’t supposed to leave a heavy residue in your hair. It also has a very strong propellant. It can be used just to add volume to the hair.
It works too. I liked it better than the Tresemme because it didn’t feel sticky. It did not feel as thick and heavy as with the Tresemme either although my husband said I used way too much of it.
He may be right too because I was having fun with it. It went on the gray parts of my hair white and made it look even more silvery.
It does leave a residue but you can brush that out pretty easy if you want to. I actually left some in because I liked the way it looked.
My husband liked the smell but said it was too strong…but he thinks that’s because I used too much. It does smell good.
He wants me to get some of the the colored ones so he can use it to cover his gray. You can get several colors that help blend your hair at the roots so you can go longer without coloring it.
I think it would make great highlights too.
It comes in two different sizes so you can get a small one to carry in your purse and have a large one at home.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
