Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

Batiste Dry Shampoo Can

Batiste Dry Shampoo CanI received a small can of Tresemme Dry Shampoo and a can of Batiste Dry Shampoo to try and compare.

The Tresemme is made with cornstarch and it worked pretty well but my hair felt a bit sticky afterward. It also felt heavier and thicker…harder to manage. Since my hair is thick and hard to brush already that isn’t helpful.

After washing my hair and letting it get dirty again I tried the Batiste Dry Shampoo. It is made with rice starch and isn’t supposed to leave a heavy residue in your hair. It also has a very strong propellant. It can be used just to add volume to the hair.

It works too. I liked it better than the Tresemme because it didn’t feel sticky. It did not feel as thick and heavy as with the Tresemme either although my husband said I used way too much of it.

He may be right too because I was having fun with it. It went on the gray parts of my hair white and made it look even more silvery.

It does leave a residue but you can brush that out pretty easy if you want to. I actually left some in because I liked the way it looked.

My husband liked the smell but said it was too strong…but he thinks that’s because I used too much. It does smell good.

He wants me to get some of the the colored ones so he can use it to cover his gray. You can get several colors that help blend your hair at the roots so you can go longer without coloring it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in various colors and scents

I think it would make great highlights too.

It comes in two different sizes so you can get a small one to carry in your purse and have a large one at home.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. This is a great dry shampoo! My hair is straight, thin, and tends to get oily pretty quickly! This is great in between washes to freshen up without having to wash all of your hair! It also adds volume which is awesome!! I’m blonde but when my brown roots start trying to peek through, if I use this it blends them in better so it helps when I don’t have time to recolor! Plus there’s no yucky residue after, just spray it and rub it in and then brush it through and voila!

  2. Dry shampoo is great to have when you travel. I first heard about the Batiste shampoo on the Travel Explosion website and have been using it ever since. Great because it’s light and smells good as well.
