Sea Glass Island is a wonderful way to spend a day! That’s how long it took me to read it. Of course I didn’t do much else that day. So you might want to take this book on vacation with you. Take the rest of the books in the series too!
In this book the last of the Castle sisters finds her true love. In her case it is the man she has liked since high school.
I love happy endings! That’s one of the reasons these books are so good. It isn’t that they don’t have troubles because they do…it’s just that they figure out how to handle it…with a bit of help from their families.
If you are going to have a few days off this year for sitting on the beach reading…these books would be great to take along. For one thing the story takes place on/near a beach down in North Carolina. Of course reading them during a thunderstorm up in the hills is good too.
I love the setting of these books. Reading them made me want to take a trip down south. I love the family in the books too. It reminds me of my own extended family.
They are all great reads and if you can read them all one after the other…that is even better.
ABout the book :
Under summer skies, New York Times bestselling author Sherryl Woods evokes family, friendship and heartfelt emotion
With her two younger sisters heading for the altar, will Samantha Castle exchange old dreams for new ones? Lately she’d rather be on the North Carolina coast with family than in New York with agents and actors. Though she vows not to let her teenage crush on Ethan Cole influence her decision, it’s hard to ignore her feelings for the local war hero.
Ethan lost more than his leg in Afghanistan. He lost his belief in love. Even being surrounded by couples intent on capturing happily-ever-after won’t open this jaded doctor’s heart. It’s going to take a sexy, determined woman—one who won’t take no for an answer.
About the Author :
With her roots firmly planted in the South, Sherryl Woods has written many of her more than 100 books in that distinctive setting, whether in her home state of Virginia, her adopted state, Florida, or her much-adored South Carolina. She’s also especially partial to small towns wherever they may be. In her latest series, Sherryl returns to the fictional town of Serenity, South Carolina, and her beloved Sweet Magnolias. “Writing these books was like catching upl with old friends. I hope readers will feel the same way,” she says.
A member of Novelists Inc. and Sisters in Crime, Sherryl divides her time between her childhood summer home overlooking the Potomac River in Colonial Beach, Virginia, and her oceanfront home with its lighthouse view, in Key Biscayne, Florida. “Wherever I am, if there’s no water in sight, I get a little antsy,” she says.
