The Melting Pot Cookbook By Belle Serbin Fields

Disclosure: I received a copy of this cookbook to review. My opinion is 100% my own.

Cover of The Melting Pot Cookbook by Belle Serbin Fields. The Melting Pot Cookbook by Belle Serbin Fields is a great cookbook for beginners or for cooks who want simple recipes.

Most of the recipes call for simple items that you either already have in your kitchen or can easily buy at your regular grocery store.

One thing I really liked is that she includes two or more recipes for some things like the Broiled Chicken and the Brisket recipes. There are several recipes for Brisket and she tells you which is spicy and which is sweet.

There are several recipes for veal that I would like to try and the recipe for Mock Sausage (no pork) is really great.

Another great thing about this cookbook is the stories she tells. Many of the recipes have a story to go with them about where she learned the recipe or why it was a favorite or even why the recipe calls for a certain item(sauerkraut in a chocolate cake).

It makes the book fun to just read.

If you are looking for a certain sort of recipe the book is divided into sections so it is easy to find the deserts or the veggie recipes.

She has a sections for Salads and Salad Dressings and Sauces, Hot Breads and Rolls, and Soups too.

Just about every kind of food you could want…there is a recipe for and it is a simple, easy to follow recipe.

I like this cookbook and if you are looking for a cookbook with simple, easy recipes you will like it too.
