I love this Stainless Steel Veggie Steamer. It is like the one that my grandmother had, but of course hers was old and it had rust on it, so I ended up throwing it out.
This one will probably not rust for many years, if it does at all. It is nice and shiny, and so pretty.
It seems to be really well made. It came all folded up, so it only took up a few inches of room. It fits in my kitchen drawer with no problem.
It opens out and is big enough to cook veggies for at least 4 people. It could probably do more, but I have had no reason to try that. Around here it is usually only me and the hubby. We do have company occasionally, but usually not more than two at a time.
I have used it for steaming carrots and broccoli so far. From what I read you can use these things to steam just about anything including hot dogs.
I never thought about steaming hot dogs before. I guess that would be as good (or better) than boiling them. Next time we do hot dogs I might try that.
Have you ever steamed hot dogs? What else can you use it for?
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
