In my case I was eating quite a bit of junky type stuff, and not moving a whole lot. Either of those by themselves would be bad but taken together, what you have is a recipe for a human blimp.
Now I have to confess that I did NOT manage to follow the Shake The Crave program 100%, maybe not even 50%. Part of the problem was the time of year. After all you can’t (or at least I can’t) go to a county fair without eating something that isn’t exactly good for you (BBQ nacho fries, cheeseburgers, funnel cakes), and then of course there are the holiday dinners (yea excuses, I know).
The Shake The Crave mix itself is pretty good. It tastes good, and you can even use it as dessert if you want, because it pretty much tastes like a milkshake.
You can use it in smoothies, or just mix with milk, or almond milk. Any way you drink it is pretty much fine. It does fill you up and keep you feeling full for a while.
But for me, the best thing, was the motivation to get moving. I didn’t always drink the shakes twice a day like the program calls for, and I didn’t always get the healthy snacks it calls for, or the healthy dinner, but so far, I have managed to work my way up to doing 30 minutes or so of stationary bike riding most days.
I did hurt my leg once and could not stand to sit on the bike seat for a day or so because it hurt so bad, and I was away from home a few days, but almost every day for the last few months I have ridden the bike, and some days did some walking as well.
That is a huge improvement for me.
Now if I can just get my eating under control too, everything will be just great.
Trusted Health Products is still offering free samples of the shake mix if you would like to try it. You can get them here. The website also has a lot of information on setting goals, changing how you cook, what to eat, and quite a few recipes.
