This paring knife from NanoRazor is a really sharp little knife.
It has become my go-to knife, because it is now the sharpest knife I have. That doesn’t say much for my old knives.
I know you are really not supposed to use a 3 inch paring knife for everything, but it actually works better for most things than any of my other knives. That of course means I really need to get a whole new set of knives!
The only thing I didn’t much like about this knife is the plastic handle. I have broken the handle off of knives before, I’m just worried that the same thing will happen with this one. It has not happened so far, and I am loving the knife.
It has been used a LOT since it arrived, and is still just as sharp as ever. It is also easy to clean, and it matches my kitchen counters!
According to the company this blade is more durable than most ceramic blades. They say:
“The Savvy Living NanoRazor is made using a special 4-step process which makes our blades sharper, denser, and more durable than those on regular ceramic knives. The NanoRazor Advantage1. The blades are moulded from high-tech zirconium oxide in a 100 ton+ forging machine.2. The blade is pressed using a special cold isostatic pressing process which makes it denser and more resistant to wear…3. We use a high-temperature sintering process where the blade is placed in a 1500(°C) kiln for over 96 hours to make it denser and less porous (fewer pores means food and bacteria don’t stick to it)…4. The blade is triple-polished with a diamond wheel for a smooth finish and razor sharp edge, and fit with an ergonomic, easy-to-grip handle for comfortable slicing, dicing, and chopping without wrist fatigue.”
