Stores already have all the Christmas stuff out. Or at least some of it.
The Christmas trees and lights are on display already. So if you are needing a new Christmas tree this year you can go on and buy that now and get it out of the way.
Lots of lights and other decorations are out too. I don’t think any of the stores have their whole stock out yet…the Halloween stuff is still taking up some room.
Some places have gift sets out on display already too. I don’t really mind that. I love looking at all the different perfume and make up sets they put up displays for. It is irritating not to be able to find the things that used to be there though.
It was bad enough when that only happened at the end of November through December but now it starts in the middle of October!
I’m seriously thinking about having all my stuff delivered. Then I won’t have to go shopping at all. I can just hibernate all winter.
The only real problem with that…other than shipping costs of course…is that I would be bored out of my skull in a few weeks if I never went to town at all.
And after all it is only for a couple of months.
It seems to be contagious though. I have noticed the last week that some people are putting up the Christmas decorations on their houses already too.
What’s the deal with that? Do you have decorations up already? When do you think they should go up?
I have several different dinners to go to during the Holidays. I’m only helping with one. I’m just a guest at the other.
Both should be fun. I will probably gain some weight from all the good food.
I hope you are all going to be having a good meal this year. Maybe a few parties?
My family doesn’t do a lot of presents except for the little kids. We do eat a lot though. The company makes the food better!
Whatever else you do this year…Enjoy your family! You never know when you might lose them.
If you are trying to come up with an idea of what to give someone for Christmas, especially a female someone, consider sending her some Flowers For Christmas.
I got a really gorgeous bouquet of decorative Christmas Flowers from From You Flowers.
It has some of the best smelling roses I have ever smelled and they look good too! It also has some pretty white flowers and decorative ornaments.
I really like the silvery spiral ornaments. The red sparkly ornaments are pretty too though. And the roses have just a tiny bit of glitter on the edges of the top petals. It makes it look even more decorative. This is the perfect bouquet to have on the sideboard for Christmas dinner.
I have it on the table in the main room so we can all see it. It provides quite a bit of Christmas Cheer to the room and makes me feel good every time I see it.
This bouquet was arranged by a local florist in Paragould called Ballard’s Flowers. They did a really great job on it and the delivery was really quick too. I had only been told it was being shipped a short time before the florist called to make sure someone would be here to take delivery.
This bouquet came in a pretty glass vase but you can also get flowers arranged in baskets.
You can use this link and have a Free Delivery Coupon Code automatically applied to your order.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
The Fart That Saved Christmas An Adults Christmas Tale is a really cute book. It is written similar to The Night Before Christmas but it has a much more realistic view about what might be going on at the north pole on Christmas Eve.
This is a really funny book and it has some gorgeous illustrations that gave me the giggles.
It is most definitely not for kids though! At least not kids that believe that Santa is pretty nearly perfect. There is no sex or cussing but it does have Santa taking a nip and telling the reindeer what he things of their going on “strike”.
I really liked this book. It would be a great gift for any adult with a sense of humor.
The behind the scenes story of what really happened “The Night Before Christmas.”
It’s Christmas Eve. The reindeer go on strike with a list of demands for Santa, the elves and Mrs. Claus. Santa gets “loaded” and threatens to cancel Christmas, fire the deer and divorce Mrs. Claus. But, just when all seems lost, Christmas is saved by a timely fart.

Born into a body inhabited by multiple muse personalities, I create stories by stretching the “normal” beyond the boundaries of the absurd. The result is a worm-hole ride to the Far Side. I love a good story — so, I wrote one. Enjoy it with my wishes for a happy holiday season.

Christmas is over and it is almost New Years Day. Did you have a good Christmas? I had a great day with my family.
I ate too much of a really wonderful dinner cooked by my mother. She says I will have to start doing the cooking soon as she is getting a bit too old. I’m afraid the dinners might not be that good again!
I also got a crock pot. One with a timer. It will automatically shut off when the time is up. I like that as I am often not sure just when I will be getting home and it worries me to leave something hot on for too long. I will post a review of it after I have used it a few times.
What all did you do for Christmas? I hope you were with your family. It really sucks to be away from them on the holiday. Did you get any good presents? Let us all know so we can share the joy!
The New Year
The New Year is almost on us too. How did last year go for you? Anything big happen? I started blogging on a regular basis and am still loving it so far. I also lost my grandmother. I’m not loving that. We still miss her.
Other than that it was a pretty good year. I’m hoping this next year will be as good or better. Do you have any plans for the New Year? Resolutions? I would like to lose at least 30 lbs myself.
New Years Celebration
Are you going to party on New Years Eve? Me and my husband are probably going to sit home and watch the celebrations on TV. Those big parties in Times Square are usually fun to watch.
I’m also participating in the Happy New Years Giveaway Hop starting on December 30. Having the chance to win something is a great way to celebrate the new year. Come on over and join us when you get the chance. It lasts till January 3 so you will have time to recover from the partying first!
Whatever happens I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a great year!
