Internet Went Kaput

We have internet and phone service through a local cable company.

The Friday before last our internet went out, which means our phone also went out.

The cable company has not yet (as of 1pm Sunday) got it working again, and they have not said when or even IF it will be working again.

So I’m cadging my moms internet using a laptop that is driving me crazy. The cursor keeps moving while I’m typing. I have changed some settings to try to fix that but no joy so far.

So I haven’t been posting much anywhere, and my last giveaway was a bit late. I’m hoping they will get my net fixed Monday. If they don’t I may try getting internet from satellite. Anyone have experience with that? Like it?

Hope to be back online regularly soon. Bear with me. Please.

Wrists Hurting After Using The Keyboard?

Keyboard Pad and Mouse Pad.A Keyboard Pad and a Mouse Pad can help keep your wrists from hurting if you are on the computer a lot. This one from CushionCare is really nice.

I have been using these for almost a month now. I love them both.

They have a no skid back on them so they don’t slide around.

The cushion holds your wrist up where it should be, so my hands don’t get as tired as they used to, and my wrists don’t hurt as much.

They can still hurt some especially if I am on the computer playing a game for hours. If I’m just typing a post or scrolling on social sites for a bit my wrists don’t hurt at all now.

These look nice too.

The keyboard pad and mouse pad on my desk. The wrist rest attached to the mouse pad is a great idea. If you move your mouse pad the wrist pad goes with it.

The last one I tried was separate and kept falling off the desk. This one will not fall off, unless the whole thing comes down, which has not happened yet.

I like this set of wrist pads. They work.

Premium Solid Cordz® 1 Foot Extension Cable Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Picture of 5 Solid Cordz® 1 Foot Extension Cables. It had never occurred to me that such a thing as short extension cords even existed. The shortest ones I had ever seen were 6 feet long.

Until I saw the pictures of these and the description of them it just never entered my mind that there was a way to get all your computer stuff plugged into the same surge protector at once.

My surge protector looked like this before :

A picture of my surge protector before Solid Cordz.Yea at least one of my plugs was unusable without unplugging something. Which meant I couldn’t put my phone and Kindle chargers on there at the same time without losing either my printer, my speakers, or my modem.

There are other spots in the house where it would be nice to be able to actually use both plug-ins.  I have no idea why so many items (phone with answering machine) have large plugs that take up all the room on a plug but it does get irritating.

Removing the big plugs and putting in the Solid Cordz® Extension Cords also made it look a lot neater and as you can see dusting didn’t hurt it either.

My surge protector after Solid Cordz® Extension Cords.Doesn’t that look better?

You can actually set this up so the cords are pretty much hidden. Of course mine are on top of a desk so I can drape them over the side but you can probably do that other places too.

So far I have two extra useable plug-ins in the house. My husband is going to use the other two cords in the shed(as soon as he gets the electrical lines run.)

These are really good cords too. They are for indoor use only, Equipped with a 16AWG wire gauge, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed, and CSA Approved for top quality.

Just click the link to buy your own pack of 5 Solid Cordz® Extension Cords.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Computer Rebooting

It has been doing this for a few days now.

I have been trying to find the problem and fix it. Drivers have been updated. Java uninstalled and reinstalled.

Needless to say this has gotten me behind on my blogging and Facebook trolling. And everything else too. How could I possibly clean house when my computer needs fixing?!?

With all the updating and everything I think it is fixed. Will not be sure till tomorrow when it cold boots. If it isn’t fixed…I might consider that a sign that we should get a new computer.

Hopefully it is fixed well enough that I can get back to my regularly scheduled blogging. I have a few giveaway hops coming up in the next few days so I hope it will hold together that long.

Have you ever had a computer start rebooting? It only does it in the mornings when it is first turned on usually. It did sometimes freeze…it hasn’t done that any more today. So I hope it is fixed.

If you have any advice please post it in the comments. I need all the help I can get.
