Give Her A Beautiful 24K Gold And Red Crystal Rose

A lovely rose made of red crystal and 24k gold by Matashi.Real roses are beautiful, but they fade and have to be thrown out. This beautiful 24K Gold and Red Crystal Rose will never fade. It will be just as lovely 20 years from now. Probably a lot longer than that, with proper care.

This is a truly beautiful piece. It has two stems, one to a fully opened rose, and one to a bud. It is very well crafted. The leaves have the little ridges and the small petals under the bloom are there. The whole thing is shiny gold, with that lovely red crystal in the center.

Gold and Crystal Rose from Matashi Crystals.

The rose is bigger than I expected it to be. The dimensions are: 4.1 x 2.7 x 2.5 inches (weighs 4.8 ounces). It is very pretty and shiny. When the light hits the crystal it sparkles. I love it.

Red Crystal and Gold Rose from Matashi Crystals.I had to take it outside and let the sunshine hit it. Any light sparkles on it, but the sun makes it look like the crystal is sort of glowing, and the gold just sparkles. If I was gonna keep it, it would go on one of the window sills, so the light would hit it all the time.

But since my moms birthday is coming up next month, this is going to be one of her gifts. I’m pretty sure she will love it as much as I do.

It would make a lovely gift for Christmas, Mother’s Day, or Valentines Day too. I don’t think there is a woman alive who wouldn’t like it, so any occasion will do. Or none for that matter.

It comes in a very nice box that won’t even need wrapping.

The Edible Garden By Alys Fowler Review

The Edible Garden by Alys Fowler. The Edible Garden: How To Have Your Garden And Eat It, Too by Alys Fowler is a wonderful book!

I have always wanted to grow some vegetables but I didn’t want a huge big plot of land like everyone seems to think you have to have in order to grow vegetables.

In this book Alys Fowler tells us how to grow a garden that doesn’t take a huge amount of land.

She says you can grow things in pots on a patio if that is all the space you have. Or in your backyard.A picture of one of my tomatoe plants with a marigold.

I love the idea of just having vegetables and fruit and herbs growing in my yard in among the flowers. Or just having a small patch of mixed up stuff that doesn’t have to be separated from everything else.

I already had some strawberries and that spot is about the only place in our yard that gets a lot of sun so I planted some tomatoes and bell peppers along with some basil and marigolds.Bell Pepper and marigold.

The marigolds are pretty and they help keep bugs away from the plants.

I also planted some herbs in a long planter.

A picture of a planter with some herbs growing.

This book has information about what plants grow well together such as tomato and basil (the basil gives tomatoes a good flavor) and marigolds.

There is a section about how to start a garden and then about how to take care of it (fertilizing!) and then about how to harvest (and save seeds for next year) and even a section about home cooking.

It is a wonderful book for folks who are interested in gardening but never knew how to do it. Even folks who already know a lot about gardening might learn a few things.

It has wonderful pictures of her garden too.

Pretty Colors Of Spring

There is green coming up all over the place of course and it looks good after the brown of winter.

But what I really like is the BluesSome blue flowers in my yard.

And the Purples

Purple Flowers in my yard.

And of course the Yellows!

Some of the Daffodils in my yard.

Daffodils in front of my porch.

Even the ones that have just been peed on.

Daffodils and the dog that just peed on them.

Those green clumps you can see scattered here and there will be bunches of little white flowers before too long.

Just looking at them makes me feel happy!

Do you have any flowers blooming yet?

Rain Is Great For Flowers

We have some really gorgeous flowers coming up right now. They started popping up about a week ago. They do come every year usually but this year they are a lot thicker than they have been the last few years.

A picture of of lovely pink and white flowers in my yard.I think they are some kind of lily. Someone once told me they are called Naked Ladies. At least I think it is the same flower.

They are beautiful anyway. And very wet.

Picture of pink and white flowers up close. It has rained off on and for a week now. Or has it been longer? It seems like forever. The sun will come out for a couple of hours and then it rains again. Sometimes even storms.

My dogs hide behind the furniture or under the bed if we are in the bedroom. They don’t like thunder.

It has rained enough already. West of here it is flooding.  The tourist town of Eureka Springs and other small towns in northwest Arkansas are having problems. Eastern Oklahoma and southern Missouri are too.

If you want to see some pictures of the flooding in the Eureka Springs area check out the Facebook pages of the Eureka Springs Independent , the Lovely County Citizen, or the Carroll County News. There are pictures of torn up roads and lots and lots of water.

There was a report I saw on my Facebook freed about a winery getting washed out. They were asking folks downstream to keep an eye out for any of their equipment.

It isn’t that bad here but if it keeps on raining…we might be in real trouble.

Beautiful Decorative Flowers For Christmas

Beautiful Flowers For Christmas. If you are trying to come up with an idea of what to give someone for Christmas, especially a female someone, consider sending her some Flowers For Christmas.

I got a really gorgeous bouquet of decorative Christmas Flowers from From You Flowers.

It has some of the best smelling roses I have ever smelled and they look good too! It also has some pretty white flowers and decorative ornaments.

I really like the silvery spiral ornaments. Christmas Cheer Bouguet with silver spiral ornaments. The red sparkly ornaments are pretty too though. And the roses have just a tiny bit of glitter on the edges of the top petals. It makes it look even more decorative. This is the perfect bouquet to have on the sideboard for Christmas dinner.

I have it on the table in the main room so we can all see it. It provides quite a bit of Christmas Cheer to the room and makes me feel good every time I see it.

This bouquet was arranged by a local florist in Paragould called Ballard’s Flowers. They did a really great job on it and the delivery was really quick too. I had only been told it was being shipped a short time before the florist called to make sure someone would be here to take delivery.

It’s A Beautiful Day Bouquet by From You Flowers Review

It’s A Beautiful Day Bouquet by From You Flowers Review

I love flowers. Especially bouquets of mixed flowers. They just make the day brighter and more cheerful.

So I of course jumped at the chance to review a bouquet from the largest privately owned flower company in the United Sates: From You Flowers.

This is an arrangement of bright summer flowers called “It’s A Beautiful Day Bouquet”. And it did make the day beautiful!

The flowers were actually arranged and delivered by a local florist called Ballard’s Flowers in Paragould, Arkansas.

They called ahead to make sure we were available to receive the delivery and arrived with the flowers not long after that.

The flowers are beautiful as you can see. They also smell really good! And they came in a very nice vase.

I took another picture a couple of days after they arrived because the roses had opened up a bit and were even prettier.

I really love those orange flowers. The color is just so bright and makes me feel good to look at it. The roses are lovely too.

This is a truly gorgeous bouquet and anyone who loves flowers would be delighted to get one of these!

You can use code 01T for a 15% discount. You can also enter their Go For Gold Sweepstakes (ends July 31) for a chance to win a $100, $50, or $25 dollar gift card.

Mother’s Day Flower Bouquet Review

Mother’s Day Flower Bouquet Review

My Mother's Day bouquet from From You Flowers'.From You Flowers’ sent me these lovely Mother’s Day Flowers for review.  It came from a local Florist called Heather’s Way Flowers & Plants located in Jonesboro, Ar.

This is one of thier most popular Mother’s Day arrangements and is called Floral Celebration For Mom.

This arrangement contains lilies and roses and a few other flowers.  As you can see it is lovely even in my blurred picture!

The close up pictures are not so blurry! I have no idea what kind of flower that big red one is but it just sets the whole thing off perfectly!

I also loved the way they put the yellow ribbon on the vase. The yellow and red toghether are just so cheerful. And the other colors just add to it.

The flowers smell good too. Not really strong but they do have a nice smell.

I took the bouquet over to my mom of course! I was tempted to let her think I had bought them for her…but I didn’t.

She thought they were beautiful too! She has them on a table in her kitchen where everyone can see them. She especially liked the vase they came in. She said it was a really good one.

You can get same day delivery on many of their flower arrangements  and they can deliver just about anywhere in the United States.

My flowers arrived the afternoon I was told that they would be shipped. So even if you wait till the last minute (which I’m NOT recommending- Mom will know!) you can still get flowers delivered in time for Mother’s Day!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
