Tweezers Are Very Useful

Effenfine Tweezer Kit.Tweezers can really come in handy in the summertime. Especially for folks who do a lot of work outside.

My husband has a real talent for getting all the splinters off of boards. They end up in his hands and arms, and of course you need some nice pointy tweezers to grab them. Tweezers can work better for that than a needle.

It really depends on the tweezers of course.

This Effenfine Tweezer Kit has three different tweezers included. They all have rough ends which makes it easier to grab things with them, and one of them is a very pointy tweezer, which is great for grabbing small items.

The pointy ones work great for splinters, ingrown hairs, and those tiny little ticks that are everywhere in the summer (in Arkansas), and are so hard to get off you.

The regular tweezers have slanty ends and rough edges and are great for eyebrows or other hairs. The rough ends make it easy to grab the hairs.

These are also well made and feel real nice in your hands. They are stainless steal and the glossy Candy Apple Red color is pretty.Effenfine Tweezer Set on my table.

The color also makes them easier to find after you laid them down somewhere, and got distracted, and forgot what you did with them.  That makes them great for us older folks who are getting more forgetful by the minute.

As you can see they show up pretty well on my table. Our bathroom counters are black so they show up good there too.

The case that comes with them is really nice too.  You can carry these with you when traveling and not lose them in the bottom of your purse.

They also come with a ten year guarantee. The company says :

We’re so confident in effenfine Tweezers we back them with our effenfine 10 Year Guarantee. If your tweezers ever become misaligned or bent from normal use within 10 years simply return them for a FREE replacement. A No Risk Purchase What have you got to lose? If you aren’t completely satisfied with our professional tweezer set simply return it within 60 days for a full no questions-asked-refund.

Is Your Skin A Moisture Junkie?

If your skin seems to absorb moisture like a sponge, then you should check out Moisture Junkie Body Butter from Natural Addictions Hair & Beauty.

Moisture Junkie Body Butter. This is a thick body butter and it only takes a little bit to cover your hands, or whatever part of you it is going on. I have used it on my hands mostly because they are really needing help right now.

Working out in the yard, pulling weeds, and planting the garden can really mess your hands up. This body butter helps fix the mess. I really like it.

Natural Addictions Hair & Beauty has several other beauty products including hair moisturizers, and Dead Sea Mud Skin Therapy.

The products are 100% organic and contain oils such as Jojoba, Avocado, Grapeseed, Sesame, and Olive oils, as well as several butters like Coco Butter, Mango Butter, and Shea Butter.

They also have several different hair extensions that they say are they best you can buy. They say:

Our hair Extensions are of the finest quality available on the market and will last you for many, many installs without matting, tangling, and with very minimal shedding if cared for properly. Our hair is imported from various regions solely from single ponytail donors. Currently our Collections include several types of Virgin Indian, Malaysian, Peruvian, and Brazilian Hair Extensions.

They have a lot of pictures of the hair extensions you can look at. They are pretty.

For An All Natural Anti-Aging Face Treatment, Try Organic Rosehip Oil.

Organic Rosehip Oil from Valentia SkincareOrganic Rosehip Oil from Valentia Skincare is a great natural moisturizer for your skin.

It is an oil but it doesn’t feel really greasy. It is oily when you first put it on but it soaks in quick and just leaves your face feeling really moist.

It also works really good for moisturizing dry hair, and it can even help with detangling, if you use it on your hair when you have tangles.

I haven’t used it on my nails, but it is supposed to be good for those too.

This Rosehip Oil has Vitamin C and Vitamin A in it. Both are antioxidants that can help reduce the signs of aging.  If you use it before you even start getting wrinkles it can help prevent them from developing (at least not as soon as they would have).

Rosehip Oil has been used to help reduce scars and burns too. The oil has a lot of essential fatty acids which help speed up healing, and cell regeneration.

The essential fatty acids also help to keep the skin moist.

I love the way my face feels after using this rosehip oil. The only thing I don’t really care for is the smell of it, which really can’t be changed without adding perfumes. The smell doesn’t last very long, since the oil soaks in so quick, so that isn’t enough to stop me from using it.

Have you tried it yet?

They are little bobby pin type clips. My mom said they would make great lapel pins. You can wear them on your shoes, or your purse too. Or just about anywhere you want to wear them.

In fact some folks have been spotted wearing them on the Red Carpet and in magazine articles.

It is a larger butterfly clip.

These clips were created by a hairstylist who believes that your hair is just as important as everything else you are wearing.

These accessories seem to be really well made and they are a very pretty shiny gold color.

They should appeal to all the young city folks. Probably all the young country folks too, since they are guns. I expect gun advocates will like them.

This would be one way to carry a gun without getting into any trouble at all.

Dead Sea Salt Deep Hair Conditioner

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Picture of a bottle of Dead Sea Salt Conditoner. The salt part doesn’t sound like it would be good for hair does it?

It isn’t regular salt though. It is Dead Sea Salt that contains more than 21 skin and hair rebuilding minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium.

All those minerals are good for your hair. They are also good for your scalp.

This Mineral Balsam Conditioner also contains some natural oils(grape, almond, olive), Aloe Vera and vitamin E to help moisturize your hair and scalp.

This conditioner makes your hair easier to manage and helps protect it from damage.

It is suitable for all hair types.

I can say from experience that it works really well on normal long thick hair. My hair is mostly straight but I expect this conditioner would be great on curly hair and really good for the type of hair that tends to get frizzy.

It goes on there easy and rinsed out pretty easy too. The comb went through my hair really easy with no tangling or pulling which made me really happy. I might actually wash my hair more often now (not promising- it is still a hassle).

I always disliked having to be so careful with the combing and brushing after washing it…it takes so long.

This conditioner made it a lot quicker.

It also smells nice…and the bottle holds enough that it should last me for a few months. I like it.

Emu Oil Makes Skin Feel Great

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Emu Oil for hair and skin.Emu Oil is great for the skin. It comes from the fat of the Emu(imagine that :p) during processing and is often used to make medicines.  An Emu is similar to an ostrich but smaller(in case you were wondering).

Many folks use the oil as an anti-inflammatory rub and to promote healing of wounds. It has been used on animals to prevent cracked or peeling paws and reduce the irritation of flea bites.

It is definitely great for dry skin.

I used the 100% Pure Ultra Premium Emu Oil from Insta Natural on my knees, ankles, elbows, and lower arms. It feels real good to rub on your arms after you have been using bleach water (yes I know I should wear rubber gloves but I couldn’t find the things).

The only problem I had with it was that my knees broke out in an itchy rash and the Emu oil was the only new thing I could think of that might cause it.

Research revealed the problem – Emu oil will carry urushiol (from poison ivy/oak) into the skin.

Even if you are not normally allergic to urushiol if you have some on your skin and the Emu oil helps it penetrate you will have a reaction. I’m pretty sure that’s what happened to me.  The oil was put on without washing my knees after having been out in the yard doing some gardening.

So let that be a caution to ya – wash before you put it on.  At least if you have been outside (even if you don’t think you have been near any poison ivy) after all it is better to be safe than sorry. And believe me if you get that itchy rash you will be sorry.

The Emu oil is good for hair too. Especially split ends or frizzies.  It also helps to put some on your hair if you have been out in the sun for a while. Sun can really dry the hair out and it needs a good moisturizer.

Please visit the Insta Natural website for more information and to check out their other great products. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

Bet You Never Thought Of Washing Your Hair In Mud

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

But you should. Sort of anyway.

Dead Sea Mud Shampoo from Adovia. You should try this Dead Sea Mud Shampoo from Adovia™.

Yea I know it isn’t really mud. It does have some Dead Sea Mud in it. The mud is supposed to have healing properties.

The Dead Sea Mud does have very high concentrates of minerals found in mud as well as several other natural ingredients including Chamomile and Olive Oil.

These ingredients act to moisturize the scalp which helps to  relieve itching and flaking.  So this shampoo would be helpful for folks suffering from the symptoms of Seborrhea Dermatitis, Psoriasis, and Dandruff.

The complete ingredients list:

Demineralised Water (Aqua) & Dead Sea Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide Dea, Fragrance (Parfum), Glycol Stearate, Propylene Glycol & Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) Extract & Algae Extract & Papaya (Carica Papaya) Extract & Aloe Vera (Barbadensis) Gel, Sodium Chloride, Dead Sea Salt, Polyquaternium – 7, Wheat (Triticum Vulgare) Germ Oil, Grape (Vitis Vinifera) Seed Oil, Sweet Almond (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) Oil, Carrot (Daucus Carota) Seed Oil, Olive (Olea Europaea) Oil, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5), Citric Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit E), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

My two cents:

The Dead Sea Mud Shampoo smells really good. I liked that. So did my hubby.

The shampoo lathers up really good and it felt good. It got my hair clean and my hair felt really soft and was so easy to brush! That I also liked.

The shampoo did not make me itch either. Some soaps and shampoos do(mostly ones with lots of perfumes added).

I like this shampoo.

Glide Thru Detangling Brush From Crave Naturals Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Glide Thru Detangling Brush from Crave Naturals. If you (or your child) have long thick hair like me that tends to tangle then you probably NEED this Glide Thru Detangling Brush.

My hair gets braided for sleeping (actually it is braided most of the time) but it still gets tangled because the braid loosens and some hair gets out. The base of my neck can be a huge mess.

A picture of my braid before brushing in the morning.I sometimes dreaded brushing it so much that if I wasn’t actually gonna go anywhere I just left it(shame on me)!

So this Detangling Brush from Crave Naturals sounded really nice.

It works! I used it on my hair in the morning and the brush didn’t get hung up a single time! Brushing didn’t hurt either. It does just glide thru.

Of course it does take a few swipes to get all the tangles. With thick hair anyway. I started on the top and then did the underpart. It didn’t take long at all.

Picture of my hair after brushing.

I really like this brush. I have used it every single day since I got it.

If you have kids that don’t like having their hair brushed this brush might make it easier. Because it doesn’t get hung up on the hair and pull so it doesn’t hurt.

Also since it doesn’t pull it won’t cause any breakage either. My hair is getting a bit thinner as age creeps up on me and extra breakage is definitely not good.

You can visit Crave Naturals on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+.
