Does Your Car’s Interior Need A FaceLift?

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

It is amazing how you can get used to something and not even notice till something brings it to your attention.

I didn’t think the inside of my car was bad at all. A bit dusty maybe but otherwise good. But when I was offered the chance to try this Chamberlain’s Leather Milk Auto Refreshener No. 4 Leather Conditioner I figured it couldn’t hurt.
Leather Milk promo picture.
After all it offers some UV protection that will help keep the dashboard and seat covers from drying out and getting faded this summer. Besides that my hubby’s old work truck could definitely use the help.

Then when I got the product and went out to look at my car and take some pictures (most of which didn’t turn out good) I noticed that my car wasn’t just a bit dusty…in some spots it was really dirty and the vinyl was already a bit faded and looked really dry in some spots and even had some spots where it looked like it might be starting to get some cracks.

It needed refreshing!

The instructions said to clean with a damp cloth first so I did that.

Then I used the Leather Milk on it. I started with the dashboard because that is the part that other people can see mostly, and the area most in need of refreshing. Even though I cleaned it before using the Auto Refresher this is what the pad looked like after just doing the dashboard:

My Leather Milk and the pad I used.

Looks pretty grungy right? Remember this is after cleaning with a regular wet rag! So the Leather Milk still managed to get more junk off it.

This is the passenger side door before cleaning:

The pictures don’t really show it all that well but it looks a lot better. And it feels better when you touch it. The dry faded look is mostly gone (except in the worst spots) and even the cracked areas don’t look as bad. If this product has been used on the car from the beginning then the vinyl might still look almost new.

So it works well but the thing I really really liked most about this product is the smell. I started rubbing it on the dashboard and the smell hit and oh man that is nice! It reminds me of something but I can’t remember what…but it is a happy smell. Maybe something from when I was a kid.

It is made from natural oils and can be used on any leather or vinyl items. So if you have any leather items such coats, jackets, purses, boots, or gloves this will help keep them in great shape.

Irish Twins Soap Company Honey Almond Rustic Soap Review

The Irish Twins Soap Company has handmade soaps that contain only natural ingredients.

Since I love trying new soaps, especially ones that don’t have a lot of extra chemical stuff added to them I was happy to have a chance to try their Honey Almond Rustic Soap.

Honey Almond Rustic Soap.

One thing I really like is that the soap comes with minimal packaging. So there isn’t a lot of trash to throw away. That also saves some trees which is a really good thing.

The soap itself is nice. Nice enough that I have already ordered some more for myself. It smells good but it doesn’t have a strong scent to it.

What I really like is the exfoliating effect of the oatmeal that is in it. It feels really good on your hands or whatever body part you use it on.

As the name of it implies this soap also contains honey which is supposed to help with healing if you clean scratches or sores with it.

They have a Soap-Of-The-Month subscription you can get too. The soap can be shipped to you each month or to sent to someone else as a gift. The options are for 3, 6, or 12 months and you can get 1, 2, or 3 bars at a time. I think that is a really neat option….you get to try a new soap every month for a while and it will always be a surprise!

Another great thing about this company (besides their soap) is that it is a cottage industry owned by two sisters who were born less than 12 months apart, which is the definition of “Irish Twins”. That’s where they got the name of their company.

They are located in South Dakota and you buy Irish Twins products in many stores there or you can order online. They do accept PayPal and can also be found on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief Cream Review

Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief Cream Review

Picture of a tube of Noxicare™ cream and T-shirt. Noxicare™ sent me a tube of their natural pain relief cream and a T-shirt. The t-shirt is nice. It is well made and of good material.

The pain reliever came in a 1.5 fl oz tube which lasts quite a while unless you are using it on a lot of different areas at once. I only used it on my knuckles and wrist…so far anyway.

The cream is made of 7 natural ingredients that are all painkillers by themselves. The cream is supposed to have the exact amount of each ingredient that helps them work together to maximize the painkilling effect of each one.

Some of the ingredients work by reducing inflammation, others by helping to relax the muscles, and some by helping to increase blood flow to nerve endings. Working together they provide pain relief for all kinds of pain.

It is supposed to be really good for athletic injuries, fibromyalgia, tension headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, and arthritis.

I only used it on my left hand so far. Arthritis runs in my family…my great-grandmother, grandmother, and my mother have had problems with their hands and now I am beginning to as well.

The natural pain reliever does help. I can’t be absolutely sure that it was the cream itself or just that the rubbing it in helped…but for whatever reason it did help. I used it several times the first couple of days and then only once a day or so since then. And it isn’t hurting near as bad as it was before.

I used it on a sprained wrist too and it did help.

I like that it has all natural ingredients. The ingredients are : Turmeric, willow bark, ginger, rosemary extract, holy basil, boswellia extract and alpha lipoic acids.
