Keep Your Batteries Organized

Kovot Battery Organizer and Tester.Do you have batteries of all sizes taking up space in one of your drawers? Or spread all over the house so you have to hunt them down when you need them?

I did too, until this Kovot Battery Organizer and Tester arrived. It holds all the batteries we had, except for a few extra triple A batteries. We have more of those than other sizes, and I just stuck then the double A slots. It worked.

My battery organizer with all the batteries in it.I had a lot of batteries just laying in the drawer. I couldn’t tell which were good before, so I left them there. Now with the Kovot battery tester attached to the organizer I can test the batteries. I threw quite a few of them out.

At least now I know all the ones we have are actually good batteries.

I like that tester too. It is easy to use. I like that it attaches to the organizer for storage. That makes it easy to find when you need it. The tester does come off the organizer so you can take it with you if you need to.

Kovot Battery Tester.I now have the organizer in a kitchen drawer, where it takes up only half the drawer.  I still have plenty of room in the drawer for other things, and my batteries are easy to grab. It can be attached to a wall if you prefer.

If you have a lot of battery operated items around the house, you should check into getting one of these.

A Better Place For His Stuff

Grab N' Go Organizer. The Grab N’ Go is a much better place for the man in your life to put his stuff.

It has spaces for keys, phones, watches, wallets, and whatever else he stuck in his pockets during the day.

My husband used to come in and put part of his stuff on the table, and part on his nightstand, and part of it on his desk.

Now that he has his very own organizer he is putting most of his stuff on it.

He put the organizer on his computer desk and now he keeps his phone charger and clip on it. He has also been leaving his phone, calculator, and an occasional pair of pliers or screwdrivers.

He has the smoke version.

Smoke Grab N' GoI like it better than the white one.

It seems like a really sturdy little organizer that should last a few years.

Check out this video:

You can buy one for your husband on the Finder Enterprises, LLC website. It would make a great Fathers Day Gift.

Need To Keep Track Of Medicines?

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Picture of a Daybox by Sabi. The Daybox by Sabi can help.

This is a weekly pill organizer that holds pills for each day plus an extra to carry with you.

Each day has three separate pill holders for folks that have to take pills three times a day.

My grandmother would have loved this thing. She used to have problems keeping her pills straight and would get the morning pills mixed up with the night pills.

With the Daybox that won’t happen because you have them separated for each day so once they are gone it is obvious which ones have been taken.

My husband loves the one we got to review. He only has to take his meds once a day though so he is using the extra holders to add two extra weeks to his organized pills.

A picture of our Daybox by Sabi.

So he can fill this up and know that when he is on his last week he only has one weeks worth of pills left and needs to make sure he gets refills.

I really like the way the day boxes fit together. They hook together so you can have a weeks worth or just a couple of days worth with you if you go somewhere. If you are just going to town and will be gone when it is time to take your pills you can just take that days box with you.

It is easy and convenient!

Sabi has a blog you can visit for more information and they can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.  And if you would like to buy your own you can do that here.

Premium Solid Cordz® 1 Foot Extension Cable Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Picture of 5 Solid Cordz® 1 Foot Extension Cables. It had never occurred to me that such a thing as short extension cords even existed. The shortest ones I had ever seen were 6 feet long.

Until I saw the pictures of these and the description of them it just never entered my mind that there was a way to get all your computer stuff plugged into the same surge protector at once.

My surge protector looked like this before :

A picture of my surge protector before Solid Cordz.Yea at least one of my plugs was unusable without unplugging something. Which meant I couldn’t put my phone and Kindle chargers on there at the same time without losing either my printer, my speakers, or my modem.

There are other spots in the house where it would be nice to be able to actually use both plug-ins.  I have no idea why so many items (phone with answering machine) have large plugs that take up all the room on a plug but it does get irritating.

Removing the big plugs and putting in the Solid Cordz® Extension Cords also made it look a lot neater and as you can see dusting didn’t hurt it either.

My surge protector after Solid Cordz® Extension Cords.Doesn’t that look better?

You can actually set this up so the cords are pretty much hidden. Of course mine are on top of a desk so I can drape them over the side but you can probably do that other places too.

So far I have two extra useable plug-ins in the house. My husband is going to use the other two cords in the shed(as soon as he gets the electrical lines run.)

These are really good cords too. They are for indoor use only, Equipped with a 16AWG wire gauge, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed, and CSA Approved for top quality.

Just click the link to buy your own pack of 5 Solid Cordz® Extension Cords.

Pretty Neat by Alicia Rockmore & Sarah Welch Review

Pretty Neat: The Buttoned-Up Way to Get Organized and Let Go of Perfection is a wonderful book about how to get organized as well as how to let go of the fear that you just don’t measure up.

This book contains stories from busy women who manage business, careers, families, and homes. The stories tell how they manage to stay organized and not go nuts. One of the main ideas in the book is that you can be organized without being perfectly organized.

Very few busy people can be perfectly organized in all aspects of their lives. They may have neat living rooms but the bedrooms are disaster areas. Or they may have an exceptionally well organized office but their home is messy. This book is about being organized enough. And just enough.

We all have better things to do than go around organizing everything in our homes perfectly. The stories in this book will convince you that it is ok  not to be perfect. As long as you can find what you need then it is good enough.

There are many idea for how to make things easier as well.  Such as taking just 10 minutes to clear a spot in your house every day. If you do that then clutter won’t accumulate as much. I also liked the Taming Those Toy Tsunamis chapter. One of the ideas in there is to keep them all in one room. It goes for grown up toys too!

This is a really good book and anyone who has problems with organization or perfectionism would get a lot out of reading it.

I won a copy of this book over on Pretty Opinionated back in March.  Go visit and enter a few giveaways while you are there.
