Personalized Book Review

I was given a code to order an ebook from where they make personalized novels with you as the main character. They also have paperbacks and hardbacks and you can get printed books with a photo of you and your significant other…or of friends if you are buying a book as a gift.

I think it would be pretty neat to have a book with a picture of me and my husband on the cover!

The ebook I got only had us as characters though. I had to go to the site and pick out which book I wanted. They have romances of two types…mild or wild. The one I got was mild…and it still was a bit steamy but nothing graphic!

You can get novels set outdoors in such places as golf courses, dude ranches, and African safaris. You can also get some set in more traditional areas like beaches or on cruises. And there are novels that include vampires or shapeshifters and other weird things.

Danger in Dublin book cover. So I chose Danger In Dublin just because I have always wanted to go to Ireland. I then had to fill out a short questionnaire that included such things as my eye color, my favorite radio station, the type of car my hubby drives, the nearest major airport…and a few others. They use this information to describe the characters and action in the book.

When I got the book and started reading I found myself winning a trip to Ireland and heading off with my hubby to the airport…and on a grand adventure!

That was pretty darned cool!!

If you know someone who loves to read or would just love to be a character in a story…these personalized novels would make a great gift.

The ebooks sell for $14.95, paperbacks for $49.95, hardbacks for $94.95 and you can add a photo to the paperback or hardback for $25 more.

Create Your Own Personalized Products At CafePress

CafePress logoThe wonderful people at CafePress gave me a coupon for $50 worth of products. They said I could choose anything I wanted.

I spent quite a while on thier site looking at things. They have a great many items to choose from. I finally decided to get something for my hubby and then see how much of the $50 was left.

He has been looking for a good coffee mug for a while. He doesn’t like the small coffee cups and the mugs you see at stores like Wal-Mart are too “pretty”.

He wanted a big mug. CafePress has those. I thought about getting one with a funny saying on it…but there was way too many to choose from and I liked too many of them. So I decided to get a customized one.

He has seen the mugs with kids or animal pictures on them and always said his “baby” would look good on one. So I uploaded a picture of our dog…and he now has this mug: My husbands CafePress mug.

He really liked it. The only problem is…he says it is too nice to actually use as a coffee mug. So he has it on diplay in our china cabinet instead.

I also got a custom t-shirt for me with the same picture on it. My husband tried to take it too. Not happening!

It is a really well made t-shirt and it looks good…the picture doesn’t look as pretty on it as it does on the mug though.

I am very happy with the way they both turned out. And you can put just about any picture you want on the items…so long as they fit in the design you choose.

You can just upload your own design too I think. These make wonderful gifts and the items got shipped me very quickly…so last minute shopping is not completely out of the question.

Personalized Calling Cards from Amy Adele

Personalized Calling Cards from Amy Adele

These personalized calling cards from Amy Adele are pretty nice. I picked out the Triple Green Border cards. I just liked the way they looked…simple and clean.

Green Border Calling Cards

They arrived just a few days after ordering. And the order process was easy too. You just go to and look at the different options. They have quite a few choices…once you pick which kind of card or stickers you want you go to a page where you can personalize them. On the ones I got you could pick the font, the size of the text, the color of the text and the alignment. On some items you can upload graphics or pictures to be included.

They arrived in a box packed in shipping peanuts which are made with cornstarch. Which means they are biodegradable. I really like that. The cards themselves are made from recycled paper as are the envelopes that were included. The cards and envelopes were in a little green net bag tied with a little ribbon. That is so pretty! The picture really doesn’t do it justice.

My Calling Cards

These are going to go into the books given away on this site. And any other self sponsored giveaways. They will be a wonderful reminder of where the item came from.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
