You Can Get Some Pretty Cool Glasses Online

Private Eyes Thixie Reader from DiscountGlasses.I got these pretty reading glasses online. From DiscountGlasses.com.

They have a large number of frames to choose from and lots of different colors. I looked at several hundred before I decided on this pair of Private Eyes Thixie Readers.

They also have prescription glasses and sunglasses, so next time my husband needs new glasses we will likely get them online. They are cheaper than ordering from the eye doctor.

I love the case these came in! It is a hard plastic case with a flip top lid.

Case for glasses from discountglasses.com.The case also came with a plastic cover to protect it from damage. The glasses themselves were also protected by a plastic baggie sort of thing. I like that. Don’t think anything less than being stomped on or run over by a truck during shipping would hurt them.

I got this pair because of the design on the sides. My pictures are a bit blurry but you can still see it.Private Eyes Thixie Readers from discountglasses.com

They seem to be really well made glasses. Much better then the ones I had, which were the very cheap ones you get from a dollar store.

I was buying cheap ones because our newest puppy was going through that “chewing on everything” stage of life, and it took me a long time to get to where I would remember to put my glasses up where she could not get to them. I lost about 5 pair. The first pair that got chewed up was more expensive and I got really upset when she chewed them up. She has grown out of that now, so I really wanted a nice pair.

They look pretty good on me don’t they?

Making Iced Cappuccino At Home Saves Money

Making your own Iced Cappuccino at home can save you a lot of money. If you go to a coffee shop you are talking close to 5 bucks a pop, or more. That adds up to a whole lot of money. If you only get one a week that is still a minimum $20 a month.  Over a year that adds up a really nice pair of boots ($240).A box of Blender Boyz Iced Cappuccino Mix.

On the other hand, if you get some Blender Boyz Iced Cappuccino Mix and make your own drinks, you will only be spending about $1.25, which adds up to $5 a month, or $60 a year. Huge difference.

They sent me a box of each flavor to try. I’m not sure which one I like best because they are all good. I’m sort of leaning toward the Original, but the French Vanilla is really good, and I even liked the Caramel. My husband liked the Caramel the best.

Blender Boyz Iced Cappuccino Pouches.

These are really easy to make too. Just put a cup of ice in your blender, add a fourth of a cup of milk, and the pouch of cappuccino mix, and blend.

They are GOOD! I could get addicted easily. If I do at least it will be cheaper than a coffee shop.

You can order them online at target.com, amazon.ca, the Blender Boyz website, and several other locations.

The pouches of drink mix do not have to be refrigerated, and you can buy them in sets of 24 boxes of the same flavor, or combo packs that include all three flavors.

If you own a restaurant, diner, or café, you can buy in bulk for wholesale prices. Blender Boyz make it so easy to make drinks that any employee can do it.

Dryer Balls Can Save You Money

Picture of Feeling Fluffy Dryer Balls.Putting some dryer balls in your clothes dryer is one way to save a little bit of money. Every little bit helps, because those cents add up to dollars, and over the life of the balls that can come to quite a bit.

These Feeling Fluffy Dryer Balls should last for at least a thousand loads and probably will last for twice that. You can keep using them until they start to shrink. Actually you can use them after that, but they will not work as well.

These are much better than putting tennis balls in your dryer, which is what folks used to tell people to do (or I was told that anyway).

For one thing these are softer, and won’t damage clothing (except you probably should not use with delicates, unless you have them in a dryer bag).

These balls are also hypoallergenic and have no chemicals, so are safe for people with sensitive skin.  They are made of 100% wool, and are very soft and do not make a lot of noise in the dryer.

Besides all that they come with a guarantee: If you are not satisfied just return them for a full refund.

I like these. They do get the clothes dry a bit faster, and fluff them up a bit too. My clothes come out as soft as if I had put one of those dryer sheets in there.

They only problem I have ever had is having one fall out of the dryer when taking clothes out. The ball hits the floor and one of the dogs takes off with it. That only happened once though, I have been a lot more careful to make sure the dogs can’t get them.

No big deal anyway, a bit of slobber never hurt anyone, and the ball came through the experience just fine. Didn’t hurt it at all.

Taking Care Of Your Teeth

I had another dentist appointment yesterday afternoon. That one was just for a check up and cleaning.

Last year I had crowns put on a couple of teeth and had treatments for gum disease.

Gum disease can sneak up on you if you are not paying attention and taking care of your teeth.

I had not been flossing on a regular basis and sometimes only brushed my teeth once a day. So I ended up having cavities and gum disease.

So take it from me. It is definitely worth the time and effort to brush and floss. Unless of course you want to lose some or all your teeth before you are even 50.

Those treatments cost quite a bit and you have to have them every three months for a while. They also give you some mouthwash type stuff you have to use for a while that kills bacteria in your mouth. That is in addition to the brushing at least twice a day.

I have been doing much better and the dentist says the bone around my teeth seems to have fully recovered and I did NOT have any problems this time around.

Except a possible loose crown. I have to go back in a month and have that checked.

If my teeth had better care in the beginning so many of them wouldn’t have crowns which cost about $1000 bucks each and the ones that are missing would still be there.

So let this be a lesson to you! Take care of your teeth!

Rent Your College Textbooks And Save Money

Rent Your College Textbooks And Save Money

I wish we had known about CampusBookRentals before my husband had his first classes. Some of his textbooks sold for several hundred dollars. Especially the more technical ones.

Cover of Basic Electricity Textbook.Instead of paying all that money for his books he could have rented them much cheaper. This Basic Electricity textbook rents for only $35.82 and the shipping is free! Even to ship it back to them.

When you rent a book they send you a bubble envelope with a USPS label already on it and shipping already paid. When you are done you just have to put the book in there and take it to a drop box or post office.

You can watch this video for more information aobut how renting books works :

Another good thing is that you are allowed to highlight in the books. This is a really good thing because not being able to highlight would make it harder to study.

You can also return the book within 30 days for a full refund. And they have monthly giveaways you can enter too.

One of the really neat things about renting your books from CampusBookRentals is that you will also be helping a great charity. For every textbook rented a donation is made to Operation Smile a charity that helps children with cleft lips get the surgery they need even if they cannot afford it.

And you can rent textbooks even if you are not in college! I like that. It makes it much cheaper if you want to study something on your own and would like a textbook to help.

If you are in need of textbooks check them out!
