This 8 piece set of Ozeri Instavac Green Earth Food Storage Containers is really neat.
The smallest one is sandwich size though I think you can get a couple of sandwiches in there without mashing them. The largest is big enough for a huge salad or just about anything else you need to store.
We used some of them for Thanksgiving dinner items. The big one just held a bunch of veggies that were waiting to go into other items (or be snacked on).
The smallest container was used to store sausage balls for snacking.
The next size up was used to hold a crab dip. The veggies only had to stay fresh a couple of days and the container worked wonderfully. The veggies stayed crisp and great tasting. The crab dip had to last a few more days and it worked just as well.
The sausage balls didn’t get eaten as fast as it turns out that most of us get indigestion really bad after eating them. I did forget to push the air out of the container when I first put the sausage balls in there but apparently that didn’t hurt them much. They were still good a few days later when the last of them disappeared.
One thing I like about these containers is that if you have something in your fridge that can make everything in there smell or taste funny….these keep whatever is in them from getting that smell.
Which means you can store your smelly stuff in these and the smell won’t get all over everything else.
These are BPA free and have locking lids as well as the vacuum seal. The smaller ones each fit inside one of the larger ones and they stack which makes them really easy to store.
You can also put them in your freezer! You can use them in the microwave and the dishwasher too.
Each one has a date dial on the top by the vacuum valve so you can set the date and monitor how long the item has been in storage.
I really like these! If you would like to try them yourself they can be purchased on Amazon.com.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
